"Far Away" by Nickelback
This is a song analysis/comparision thingy (or whatever you want to call it) that I wrote myself. It goes in an in-depth explanation of how this song is related to the book Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.

"This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there’s just one left"

This section describes the scene where Bella is in the ballet studio with James, when she wakes up to Edward and Carlisle. "Too Long, Too Late, Who was I to make you wait" - Edward was almost too late to save Bella. If he was came even a couple minutes later, he wouldn't have been able to save her. "Just one chance, Just one breath, Just incase there's just one left" - This describes when Edward had to suck the venom out of Bella's hand. He knew the whole time he could have killed her if he let his vampire nature take him over. He doesn't kill her though, because he loves her far too much.

"I love you, I've loved you all along
And I miss you, far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go
I'll stop breathing if I dont see you anymore"

This part describes Bella, or what she's thinking. She really loves Edward. In the beginning of the second book, New Moon, Edward leaves Bella for her own good. He says it will be like he was never there. He takes all the things he gave her, including a cd that he made that had the song he wrote for her on it. She was devastated. He left her in the forest, just outside her house, and she ended up wandering around in their by herself and got lost. She sat there crying her eyes out and eventually fell asleep. I think at one point she did 'stop breathing', because she realised that Edward was never coming back.

"On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
Cuz with you, I'll withstand
All of hell to hold your hand"

This part is Edward's point of view. Edward had to trick Bella into going to their prom with him. She doesn't like dancing at all, particularly because she cant walk on a flat surface without tripping over something, let alone dancing. His sister Alice decided she would play dress-up with Bella. She got Bella to put on a dress, she put makeup on her, the whole enchalada. Meanwhile, Edward was getting a suit and a car to take them to prom. Bella and Edward got into the car and were driving to their school, when Bella goes "Your taking me to prom?" Edward questions her and asks her where she thought they were going in such fancy outfits, and she truly believed that he was going to change her into a vampire. But that didnt happen. And it is really their last dance, because this happens at the end of the first book, and they don't see each other in the second book until the very end. "With you, I'll withstand, all of hell to hold your hand" - Edward often refers to his vampire state as 'hell'. The sad fact is he does have to withstand his own personal hell to hold her hand. It takes so much for him not to lean over and smell her and give in to his senses. He has to concentrate so much not to hurt her.

"I love you, I have loved you all along
And I forgive you for being away for far too long."

This is Bella saying she forgives Edward for leaving her. XD Plain and simple.

"So keep breathing cause I'm not leaving anymore
Believe it, hold on to me, never let me go"

This is basically Edward reassuring Bella that he isnt going anywhere. He tells her that she doesnt have to worry any more. He does say that in the book. He even asks her to marry him! However, stupid her, never actually says yes. She bugs him about changing her into a vampire. I was so upset!
